KAWASAKI KZ1300 1979 *SOLD*

Stock #04678
SOLD

Stock #04678.

Big horsepower and loads of torque – well for 1979 that is!

The 1300 six cylinder was Kawasaki’s answer to Honda’s CBX1000 – the arms race was well and truly on!

Specification, such as shaft drive and liquid cooling, made the sport bike riders and racers view the KZ1300 as a Captain Sensible machine – buy they didn’t count on hard man of racing – Gary Thomas – hustling one of these to the lead of the Bathurst 20 lap production race way back in 1979, ultimately finishing the race in an astounding 2nd place.

The KZ sales weren’t exactly setting the world on fire – making a decent one reasonably hard to find today – this example is stock except of the 6 into 1 pipes system – however, we were lucky to purchase separately a standard 6 into 2 system that is included with the sale of this bike.

Showing only 12,524 miles she hasn’t exactly done much work – enquire early.
