BSA ROAD ROCKET 1958 *SOLD*

SOLD

Stock #A7922.

Rare as hens teeth !

And not only rare, but in unique as found original condition.

The Road Rocket received the adulation of the press when introduced to the market in the mid 1950’s – apart from the ROCKET front guard emblem that the press of the day thought more suited to being a bonnet mascot of a luxury car! They’d eat their words today as that Rocket mascot would fetch a tidy sum if sold separately.

At 646cc the 4 speed Road Rocket boasted a whopping 40 BHP !

The ’58 model received upgrades that included a fully enclosed chain – this example also has the original and very rare monoblock AMAL carburettor.

And to cap it off, this bike has only covered 2,719 Miles from new – that’s right 2,719 ! This bike was tightly held by a lifetime collector for most of its existence – we are privileged to be able to offer it for sale.

She is not in concours condition – there are a few age marks and bangs – but overall she is a very impressive bit of kit.
